Sales Terms
1. Scope
These Sales Terms apply to every order placed through Kowopay. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and describe how a purchase is formed, paid for, graded, shipped and, where applicable, returned.
2. The role of Kowopay
Kowopay operates the marketplace and the payment and protection layer. Each record is sold by an independent seller, and the sales contract is concluded directly between buyer and seller. Kowopay facilitates that contract and holds payment under the buyer-protection programme described below.
3. Orders and contract formation
A listing is an invitation to buy. When you place an order and payment is authorised, your offer is sent to the seller. The contract of sale is formed when the seller confirms the order. If a record is no longer available, the order is cancelled and any amount authorised is released in full.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro and set by each seller. Any shipping charge and, where relevant, import duties are displayed before you confirm. Payment is captured at checkout and held securely by Kowopay; it is released to the seller only after the buyer-protection window has passed.
5. Condition grading
Every record is graded by its seller against the Kowopay condition scale — from Mint (M) through Near Mint (NM), Very Good Plus (VG+) and Very Good (VG) downward. Sleeve and disc are graded separately where they differ. Listings state the exact pressing; collectible records show honest, expected variation.
- M — unplayed, typically still sealed.
- NM — near perfect, no meaningful signs of play.
- VG+ — light marks possible, plays cleanly throughout.
- VG — played and loved, with audible surface character noted in the listing.
6. Shipping and delivery
Sellers dispatch within the handling time shown on the listing. Records ship flat, in rigid mailers, with the disc and sleeve protected separately and a tracked label. Delivery times depend on destination; most orders arrive within a week. Risk passes to the buyer on delivery.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
Where you buy as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery. To exercise it, contact us before returning the record in its received condition. This right does not apply to a sealed record whose seal has been broken, to the extent permitted by law.
Records that arrive damaged, or graded materially below the listing, can always be returned under the buyer-protection programme regardless of the withdrawal period.
8. Buyer protection
Your payment is held by Kowopay until the record arrives as described. If it does not arrive, arrives damaged, or is graded materially inaccurately, open a claim within the protection window and our team will mediate. Approved claims are refunded to the original payment method.
9. Seller obligations
Sellers warrant that they own the records they list, that every record is authentic, and that descriptions, grades and photographs reflect the actual copy offered. Sellers must honour listed prices and stock and dispatch within the stated handling time.
10. Fees and commission
Browsing and listing on Kowopay are free. When a sale completes, Kowopay charges the seller a flat commission on the sale value; the rate in force is shown in the seller dashboard. Buyers pay only the listed price plus any displayed shipping and duties.
11. Disputes
We encourage buyers and sellers to resolve issues directly first. Where that fails, Kowopay will mediate under the buyer-protection programme. This does not affect the mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
12. Company information
The Kowopay marketplace is operated by Kowopay LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States.
